This project was a response to a brief about children's toys. Having observed that most toys assume certain abilities of children, I chose to design for an often-overlooked category of children: blind/visually challenged.

Using contrasting colours, braille embossing, felt padded joints and hidden magnets to create haptic/tactile feedback, I created three puzzles of the numbers 1-3.

Each number is divided into the number of pieces of its value. By completing the puzzle, children who may not be able to see the numbers will be able to feel and hence, might be able to then imagine what they might look like.
