Research summary
Vox Pops International has identified benefits that the public feel diversity and inclusion has for organisations, with interviewees associating concepts such as creativity, new ideas, multiple perspectives, greater understanding of the market and a stronger set of company values. Such findings were congruent with The World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report 2018 in which inclusive and diverse societies directly translated to higher levels of business success, as well as an “increase in levels of innovation, and ability to build customer loyalty and brand strength”, all of which are key to business growth.
A few key findings
98% of respondents that we interviewed believe diversity in the workplace is important.
Over 70% of contributors highlighted the lack of diversity within top leadership roles.
The majority of interviewees had experienced or witnessed social exclusion at their workplace.
All respondents agreed that diversity builds positivity and a stronger image for the company.
