800th - Celebrating the Great Barking Abbey

Barking in East London hosts one of England's most famous Abbeys. Once the wealthiest in the Land this landmark was the location for the Saxon surrender to William The Conqueror, training of the Tudor twins and home to Abbesses much renown in English history. This documentary begins the exploration of what is today one of the fastest growing, multi-ethnic, multi- cultural borough in England today; what was and can be as a lens into England tomorrow.
