An exploration into globalisation and our carbon footprint, which took the form of an A0 infographic made using wood, string and nails.
The 236 items in my bedroom were documented and traced back to the creation of their raw materials. Every element of the item was considered; for example a black Biro made up of different parts like ink and plastic -the ink and plastic were both traced to their point of origin.
These items and their journeys through 35 different countries were then split into 10 categories using colour and their journeys were plotted ontothe infographic using a colour corresponding piece of string.
The result was an eclectic infographic providing real information and highlighting the footprint of many everyday items we take for granted.
