A Big Long Horse

  • Maisie Robinson
Research based project on the Northumbrian countryside village of Longhorsley. Using a range of research techniques from interviews to surveys and photography. Come At It From Some Other Place aims to encapsulate the village of Longhorsley as it is right now and present it to people who have never heard of it before. The book focusses on ideas of Britishness and what Britishness means to different people across the world as well as how Britain is represented in other countries. I went on to make a sitcom where every prop, costume, set and scripted line in the sitcom is a different piece of collected data ranging from conversations to Longhorsley locals to asking Americans their visualisations of the village.
