your shady outlines vibrate through
the hungry light that permeates
naturally, as you slip in and out of
my red memory of you.

the redness of your face
as you stumble through the frosty streets,
it seemed just fine to me.

next afternoon
you've made it out,
but you're forgetting something dear.

the red you've left behind,
a broken voice.

now, you're moving faster
and even fading, permanently
into my memory of -
