A Flock of Earthly Delights was a project that highlighted the detrimental effects ocean plastic has on marine life. The project involved creating and curating a global online community to raise awareness and educate. The online community involved over 500 people getting in touch and making their own bird out of recycled plastic. People from all around the world joined in and participated in the project by making marine birds out of discarded ocean plastic, to help highlight the horrific consequences of dumped plastic. The whole project was inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’ triptych ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights’. The work in the project has been made out of discarded or found plastic along with recyclable materials.
