Director Jara Moravec and Kode Media’s director’s cut film for OnePlus explores a day in the life of a teen-aged student, whose life is made all the more exciting thanks to the electronics brand’s nifty new mobile phone hardware. We licensed Andrew Tanker’s funky and percussive track ‘Swahili’ to bring colour and energy to the clip. A grooving bassline and rumbling bongos underpin muted guitar licks as our protagonist, Chad, navigates an eventful day in the classroom. A spirited narrator, meanwhile, provides enthusiastic commentary on proceedings — before climactic brass and a choral vocal refrain mark some cathartic, dynamic peaks as Chad enjoys a thrilling bus journey home.
