A LOOK INSIDE: WORLD HEADQUARTERS

I independently organised a music lecture event at the alternative Star and Shadow Cinema in Newcastle where I have volunteered for the past year. The event was in the style of a Red Bull Music Academy lecture, interviewing Tom Caulker; owner of one of Newcastle’s longest running underground nightclubs World Headquarters. This was in conjunction with a final year combined honors project where I produced an expository journalistic feature on the nightclub demonstrating how its ethos of inclusivity and multiculturalism render the club an arena for political discourse in the North East. This project was successful as the event was well attended, and I received a distinction for the project in its entirety.
