A smart route to bringing a hybrid app to market

This is the story of how we helped Virgin Holidays meet their customers’ demand and realise the vision of a brand new app, designed for the future of travel. The challenge for Virgin Holidays Early in 2017, Virgin Holidays had a strong case for wanting an app. Various pieces of research suggested clear opportunities to enhance customers’ holiday experience with the offline capabilities of a native app and that actually, customers already expected one. The app has gone down well with customers so far and Virgin Holidays will be aiming to empower them more with future developments. Future friendly Designing with the future in mind means the basic MVP capability and extensible design is a great base for new features. New capabilities By designing and building the app in-house, the team has fostered the new skills and workflows that let them own the app’s destiny. They are free to build new features and respond to quick changes in a more cost-effective way than ongoing agency relationships.
