We were creating the conept of new face for Carnival, that will be held in 2018.
Main task was the poster that will be seen allaround Belgium to announce about event and invite visitors to join this holiday of joy, smiles and huge figures. Decision was to create mascots that futher can be mixed according to the promo needs and subjects. And how can the univarsary event stay without the special logo, that will identify anything that is related and remind about the party that will take place in the ancient streets of Aalst city in days of Carnival.
Started with mascots to determin the sylistic of images, didnt forget about the onion that have been a symbol of Aalst cityzens from old times. By the way Carnival starts after the gathering of onion crops was finished, according to national traditions and stories.
As the result all these guys appeared on the template of the poster, denmonstrating the variety and crowding of ehat can be ment during Carnival in Aalst
