The most recent project / event that I have worked on was part of the Portfolio Preparation Course at the Glasgow School of Art. Our group of students planned and organised an exhibition of our best work from the past 7 months. Aspects of the exhibition and opening night event included: promotion, finance, curation and installation. It required a huge amount of communication and team work, which we achieved through social media groups and organising bi-weekly meetings in which we would discuss agendas. For promotion we had to design and produce our own advertising as well as getting companies to sponsor us. Finance involved staying under our budget of £500 by keeping a record of receipts and utilising my basic accounting skills. Around 350 people attended the opening night. What I enjoyed most about the project (apart from the creativity of carrying out duties for curation and installation) was the communication and team effort required. Communicating and working with others comes naturally to me and has always been something I thoroughly enjoy.
