About: Mehjabin Hossain Prova

Mehjabin Hossain Prova, commonly known as Prova, is a Bangladeshi-Portuguese debut author and poet of the poetry collection, Sonnets of the Scarlette Sea, and script novel series, Seasons of Desire. Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, she moved to Porto, Portugal with her parents after completing her primary education. Though Prova has always been recalled as the 'quiet', 'shy', and sometimes 'intimidating' girl back in her childhood, her days were mostly spent either in solitude or writing away whatever had come to mind with every passing moment. Her first ever poem, or piece of personal writing can be traced back to when she was just eleven; triggered by a time which had brought drastic changes into her life. But with that time, not only she has matured with age, but also with her writing. Just before Prova graduated high school from the Oporto International School, she decided to form a full collection of all that she had written throughout the years, however, with much more professionalism and profoundness as publishing her works was one of her other-wordly dreams. Seasons of Desire, on the other hand, is an openly popular script novel series with 'The Encounter' completed as its first season; it is said to be continued without any fixed release dates. Currently, Prova is continuing her studies at Uppsala University after she spent a gap-year to travel, spend more time reflecting on herself, and work on her upcoming poetry collection dated to be released by 2022.
