Abstract Astrology and Astronomy

  • Eleana Clark

This collection was inspired by astrology and astronomy but with an abstract twist, observing moons, constellations and individual star signs, combining this research with textural mark making and a vibrant colour palette. Abstracting her initial drawings through view finders to create fluid and organic shapes to be combined with structured and linear markings. Pushing her drawing skills and exaggerating the drawing further by experimenting with her manipulation style with paper first, to achieve new processes to experiment within fabric. Using a range of techniques including manipulation, laser cutting and etching and CAD embroidery, having a range of heavier materials, including leather, neoprene and perspex to create a collection of manipulated samples and accessories for a high-end womenswear, Autumn/Winter collection.
