1. Badami

Badami is the famous tourist place in Hampi and one of the major tourist destinations in Karnataka State. It is famous for its different architectural temples, constructions, irrigation channels etc. Sightseeing places in Badami are the five caves, Agastyatirtha tank, Bhootnath temple, Archaeological museum etc. Badami is famous for its rock-cut caves and temples. The most interesting tourist attractions in Badami is the five caves, each cave resembles different temples and architectural style. These temples are mainly dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Another famous temple is Bhootnath temple. This temple was also dedicated to Lord Shiva and here an image of Shiva is in an irate mood which is famous here. This monkey temple was the birthplace of Lord Hanuman and this temple was situated on Anjanadri Hill in Anegudi. This Monkey temple was 4km away from Hampi and this temple was completely carved in granite cave. The famous attraction in this temple is carved statue of Lord Hanuman with a small shrine of Lord Rama and Sita. As the name, it suggests a lot number of monkeys will appear here. 3. Virupaksha Temple

Lord Virupaksha temple was another famous place in Hampi. This temple was to be believed as principal deity of Vijayanagara rulers. This temple is a great symbol of the architectural style of the 7th century. This temple was the main pilgrimage center in Hampi with its architectural style.According to history, this temple was built in the 7th century and later it was developed by Vijayanagara rulers. Even this temple underwent so many additions during the time of Chalukya and Hoysala periods. This temple was famous for its architectural style but during the war in 1565 many monumental statues, structures were lost. In the 19th century, this temple was again renovated and constructed to remain the glory of this temple.

4. Hampi Bazaar

Hampi Bazaar is another attraction in Hampi near at the foot of the Matanga Hill. This Hampi Bazaar was once the residence for nobles and market in olden times. This Hampi Bazaar was located in front of Virupaksha temple. This Hampi market also watchable place to experience the olden times markets and residences of nobles. At present this place was used as shops for poor villagers and as one of the oldest nursery school building. Famous attractions in this place are a huge Nandi at the East-end with an open platform. This platform will be used for annual Hampi festival. This whole market can be round up in 30 minutes by walk or bicycle ride.
