Ahimsa is a collaborative piece of Odd Company, formed by Jade Yung and Elinor McMahon. Having met at Central St Martins, Jade and Elinor aim to make work which communicates complex ideas about emotion, behaviour and the complexity of human exchange.
Ahimsa explores how trauma can effect one's relationship with others. Through a process of experimentation and the sharing of collaborator's experiences, The project challenges and explores the theme of trauma as an emotional reaction to an experience or event - however trivial this experiences may seem from an outside perspective. Ahimsa is an expression of how traumatic experiences can effect behaviour and how one recovers emotionally from this.
