Air & Ice Tryptic is a photographic series capturing a congregation of little egrets, moments before and after landing. The triptych presents three scenes, abstracted to shift the focus from concrete representation to the collective energy produced by each egret. The result is a series of radiant and undefined compositions, that aim to free the subject from any physical constraint. Colours are a key component of the triptych, where cold and darker shades prevail. The title of the triptych derives from this chromatic condition, which denotes the harmony between two natural elements present in the work: air and ice.
