Ali, patient assistant

A collaborative project with two other students on a brief created by Deloitte digital, Ali is an in house patient assistant app, that not only helps you and your family or friends keep track of any tests or procedures you may have scheduled but also helps you understand any medical jargon you may feel too uncomfortable to ask to have explained. Stress is an inevitable part of being admitted or has someone close admitted to hospital however with more knowledge of what and when things are happening can give the patient back some control they have may feel they lost upon admission, and hopefully keep their spirits higher and help aid in their recovery. The app allows you to record any visits you have with doctors so you, or a family member who may have been absent, can listen back. Any terms or procedures that may cause confusions can simply be highlighted and then explained through the app, helping patients feel more confident in what is happening.
