ATUGE UK, association of top Tunisian professionals in the UK is introducing the first ever Tunisian Film Festival in London. This event will be hosted by South Social film festival, one of the most proactive events platforms in London. It will pay tribute to Tunisian cinema, often referred to one of the most daring of all Arab cinemas.
The name of the festival, ALYSSA- Tunisian Film Festival, is based on the legendary Queen Alyssa. It will highlight Tunisia as a worthy source globally of independent and art cinema.
We have 4 UK premieres: Bonne Mere by Hafsia Herzi, Fatwa by Mahmoud Ben Mahmoud, Eclypses by Fadhel Jaziri, and On the Crossbar by Sami Tlili, and a multi awarded film, A son by Medhi M. Barsaoui.
All films will be followed by live or virtual Q&A.
