Alzheimer’s

My best friend's grandmother has Alzheimer, a terrible disease, which made me think what if my grandfather suffered from it? This piece portrays my grandfather as being a part of a chair, because he would not be himself anymore, he would just sit in the same chair, barely moving, while his memory fades away. This loss of memory is represented by the black smoke emerging from his head, containing pictures of his family in black and white as he wouldn't remember them anymore. The transition between bright colors of his face to the black smoke creates contrast between how joyful he was with the darkness and horror of this disease. The mixed colors and media create a damaged style, just like the memory of my grandfather.
