Song ‘Shoot Me Down’ – Music and Words by David Bitter – Arrangement by David Bitter and Gilbert Gelsdorf – Mastering and Production Gilbert Gelsdorf

'Amargo' is a project on which my group members and I worked on during the 5th semester of our studies. It was a 'free project’ – a self-set task on which only my group worked on rather than undertaking a piece of course work. We wanted to create an artist profile for one of our group members, David, a passionate musician and singer.

To give David a certain distance from this project (as he was member of the creative team as well as the subject of the project) we have decided to part with an ordinary profile and rather adopt an artistic approach towards this task. However, the artists' identity had to be based on David's characteristics so as to retain credibility.

Said characteristics are: his deep connection to his family and the fascination of relationships between human beings; his diverse cultural background and his interest in different cultures, religions and beliefs; his appreciation of indigenous art and objects from Asia, North and South America but also the urban areas of this world.

These different themes are the subject of his music and were the foundation for this project.
