Amber Joy founder of ECO DYE joins Allbirds Allgood Collective

To celebrate the launch of Allgood Collective created by Allbirds, myself and five UK members were invited to share the love of our craft with the Allbirds Community. Allbirds is a shoe company shaking up the fashion industry with their sustainable approach by using renewable, natural materials to create shoes. From August 10th to14th the Allgood Collective ran a series of free online workshops, talks and classes that emphasised, "when nature wins, we all win". I'm a Botanical Dyer at @ecodyestudio in London and so naturally I wanted to facilitate a natural dyeing workshop! Social distancing didn't stop us from successfully running two incredible Zoom sessions with participants all over the world. The contemporary technique we used in the class is called 'Bundle Dyeing' using a steamer to transfer food waste and plant material onto fabric.
