AMNESIACS is a magazine that makes an effort to combine music with history. Its name stems from amnesia, the clinical condition of memory loss, which brings forth the suppression of factual information and the inability to remember experiences from one's past. The magazine intends to familiarize one with historic events, that paralleled their favorite band's careers. Through music, it helps familiarize the readers with given zeitgeists. The issue at hand explores the origins of the popular grunge band Nirvana in 1987 and follows them up until their abrupt end in 1994. Underlining political, musical, environmental facts and events that occurred during the bands' famed years, AMNESIACS acts as a printed time capsule for the interested reader.
