AMPM (2019)
AMPM is a dystopian experimental film where the main character is the human and an analog television. The FOMO and the aim to stay connected all the time is a reality in our time, in this dystopian world - where the internet has disappeared, the addiction never stopped, people got more and more desperate to stay connected in front of a screen. With that in mind, groups of developers created the AMPM hunt, where the analog TVs are all around 2010's style buildings - if you connect your mind to a similar thought transmission with a person, you both can generate energy to initialize the old tv and open a portal, but the price is that you never know what's the task you will find the the alternative reality you enter. Just like a new pop drug, sound waves and TV images interconnect with the mind of the recipient, entering into full connection with everything the mind produces, except that the experiment only lasts 12 hours, then you have the task to fulfill and find a new tv. This film is about the connection between bodies and ideas. When we are really connected, fighting for the same ideals, we can really change our mental state and our lives. This film was awarded with installations, in many art galleries, museums and art spaces, in film festivals as the Academy-sponsored NewFilmmakers LA, Anthology Film Archives, presented in MACA (MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART OF ALICANTE), Oped Japan, Galleri Geo (Norway), Won best experimental lm (EXSS), was nominated for best cyberpunk film (ROSFF), Best cinematography (KINGSTON FILM FESTIVAL) and best production (IPIFF) in festivals around the world.
