In Nigeria, brands don’t support women’s football, so Amstel Malta, the premium malt drink stepped in. Using some of Africa's top female actresses and celebrities we developed a campaign with an all female cast and crew to leverage Amstel Malta’s sponsorship of the Super Falcons, the female national football team. As 9 times African female football champions and the current defending African champions, we were able to support our girls with a bold statement - #WeGotBalls to rally support for them during the Women's World Cup in France. The campaign which championed the power of women, not only got Nigerians talking and sharing on social media, but also increased Top of Mind Awareness, as well as phenomenally spike sales of Amstel Malta during the period.
