"An open letter to the events of this week"

A week that started with celebrating and uplifting women, and ended in violent protests and a police officer charged with the abduction and murder of a young woman, I found this week quite a lot to take in. I turn to writing in these times, as my way of (hoping to) make sense of things, and so wrote this blog post.
