As part of Channel 4's Random Acts series, And They Knew Light is a lyrical and poetic depiction of London estate life through a slightly fantastical lens on a group of young people on a South London estate who plan and execute their own entertainment. As Caleb Femi puts it, it takes you on a journey questioning your perception and assumptions about young people.
The poetry and video was written and directed by Caleb Femi and the score was created by Caleb Femi in collaboration with myself as the composer and Indigo as featured artist.
I also featured as an actor.
