Anhui Art Museum Courtyard

Hybrid space beteween historic
and contemporary:
Trying to experience daily life in urban China, where the
hybrid space could be very useful and effective, I tried
to analyze a possibly fertile ground for entering such an
area, finding it in the urban planning areas of museums
and exhibitions.
In the last decade the market for architectural museum
is constantly growing, but with it many deficits of urban
planning in the surrounding areas, which are often poorly
designed to accommodate a museum activity that alone
is not able to survive in the Chinese market.
Anhui Art Museum was built as a symbol of artistic province
in southern China, leads me to combine with quality
and historical elements of the design of the environment
Anhui provinces, or rather of the small villages in the
south of the region, with elements of chinese traditional
garden and with contemporary landscape that will recreate
in three courtyards, three different environments
reproducing spaces interwoven between public and private,
past and present, and inside-out.
