Brief & Problem
Reimagine a cover for a top-selling book. I chose Animal Farm by George Orwell. >Link to the Brief<
First Idea Sketches
The main theme I want to portray is the corruption that happened within the farm. So most of them will have the pigs and other fellas. The first is about dead animal heads as badges and the second idea is wired fences. These two stood out the most so I combined them.
Experiments
The style looks childish and I am not sure about the pig skull on the back cover. I wanted to include the skull so that the back cover is not too empty.
Semi-Final version
I drew a bit more messy and not having the artline helps in making it seems bloody. The pig skull was not that impressive with this style of drawing so I deleted it in the final version along with editing some text placement.
