Anti-Racist Cumbria

Illustration/Apparel Design

For charity organisation Anti-Racist Cumbria that aims to identify, challenge, tackle and end racism in Cumbria. One of their ongoing grassroots projects is Animated Futures, where they offer local Black and Brown children a chance to learn about animation and production from 3k Animation Studios, with contributors including animators from the BBC and Netflix.

The brief was to create a design that would be part of the prizes and merchandise for their crowdfunded animated film ‘The Fell We Climb’, this film would be sent to all schools in Cumbria and promoted nationwide.
My idea was to have one of the characters from the film champion it with their characteristics and I thought the protagonist in the film would work to incorporate my own illustrative style. Illustrating a flight pose where the fist is raised to do a subtle highlight of the title graphics of the film.
