Approach - Photographic Publication

I have always been interested in photography. I studied photography whilst at school and college and I think it was my way into film to be honest. I remember my photography teacher and tutor at college telling me about the works of photographers like William Eggleston, Martin Parr and Diane Arbus. Their work really captured my attention and fascinated me. So... something I have always wanted to do was curate a photographic publication showcasing the work of photographers I love and more specifically the 'hidden gems' of the UK photography scene. And that is exactly what 'Approach' is. 'Approach' is an almost 100 page photographic magazine with 100% of profits going to Artists in Transit, a charity offering creative workshops to families in times of hardship. The zine includes the work of seven UK based photographers with ten images per photographer.

All orders will go to print in January with 100% of profits being donated to Artists In Transit.
The work within the publication varies from documentary portraitrue to abstract landscapes and the photos have been taken all over the world.
A primary focus for the design and layout of the publication was to really allow the images to take centre stage. It was important for the book to have its own identity visually whilst still not drawing attnetion from the photos.
