Arresting the Moon

  • Rosie Hearne

Graphic novel written and illustrated as my final project for my Masters at Falmouth University. When the moon is arrested for illegal loitering in the sky, the usual rhythm and order of things that depend on its lawless orbit is drastically disturbed. As chaos descends, and more arrests are made, a handful of the citizens below the now empty night sky prepare for an illegal rave that will change everything…. Arresting the Moon pulls us into a world of twisted city dwellers and the starkly real slapstick horror of The Bobbies. Concerned by the ever-intensifying presence of the British police this story of people, parties, power directly addresses the importance of space as a place to come together, play loud music and dance whilst shedding light how it is becoming more and more policed.
