The original aim was to offer the young artists of Northampton an alternative exhibiting platform, in difference to the usual stuffiness of educational institutions, places that not everyone necessarily gets along with. The exhibition surpassed this and offered a spot of vibrancy to the town too with 17 artists exhibiting their work ranging from video installation to sculpture and graffiti.
All proceeds went to our chosen charity Kids Aid, not only due to their locality but, far more importantly, for their services in art therapy. A creative outlet helps everyone maintain sanity in our quickening society. This could be something as overlooked as your Instagram filter or CD choice in your car, yet each offers people an expression in their own right. For Kids Aid to give a child in crisis an expressive outlet, when the language of words may be insufficient is something we strongly support, and will continue to do so in the future.
