This research aims to study the current situation of women in the Galician film sector. Inequality based on gender is transversal to the whole of society, including the arts and creative industries. Based on a statistical analysis of the composition of teams in feature films published in Films from Galicia catalogues (2012-2020) and interviews with women producers currently active, this study addresses the issue of job placement, promotion, and artistic/industrial creation in Galician cinema, thus generating an overview of the labour context in which female filmmakers operate and its influence on their creative work.
