ASCENO was founded in 2014 by two friends, Lauren Leask and Poppy Sexton-Wainwright, with the intent to create a collection of wardrobe essentials perfectly curated to take a woman effortlessly through all aspects of her day. ASCENO’s luxury and versatile collections can be found in some of the best stores worldwide including NET-A-PORTER, MATCHESFASHION and Selfridges to name just a few. I have worked with ASCENO since 2017 as their CAD technical designer. I work with the designers to ensure their vision is brought to life with their new designs. Using ADOBE illustrator, I use their strike offs (print fabric swatches) to render their designs. This includes scaling prints into the technical drawings, and sometimes changing the prints during the design development process. I work directly with the production manager to include all technical information that is needed in the designs, keeping the range plan accurate and up to date. I previously used to help the production manager by creating specification sheets that included cut and trim information for manufacturers. On occasion, I assisted the digital marketing coordinator to provide visual content of the collection for their website. I was eager to have a travel blog I wrote published on their website. I frequently would help link and cross-reference the collection on their website to improve user experience.
