Attic of the mind

A look into the mind of a lunatic who took the mask off the universe and got lost in its never ending beauty:

Welcome to my Spiritual Spaces.

This work explores how space can change perception and the feelings, that can invoke.

Attics of The Mind looks to explore elements of the environment's, which played a role in shaping my spirituality. It is focused around spaces with which I have a personal connection. I wanted to show how these peaceful spaces influence my perceptions and how, I, in turn, affect the space. This work has a strong emphasis on Nature and much of the subject matter was photographed in woodland areas surrounding my hometown. These are contrasted with architectural compositions from Berlin, along with the use of hazy dream-like collages of overlayed images, to represent the almost psychedelic feel to the mind while asleep.
The spiritual sense, a space presents isn't necessarily related to what I am viewing but is more about rediscovering something forgotten within myself. Through this project I hope to show an insight into my mind and the way I perceive the universe, portraying the sense of balance, Chi and understanding I gain during the time I spend in my spiritual spaces.
My work has a strong emphasis on “Nature”, and much of the photos were taken around the woodlands which surround my home town. I also included some architectural based compositions taken in Berlin.

For me the “spiritual sense” a space presents, isn’t necessarily related to what I am viewing, but is more about; “rediscovering something within myself”.

I also experimented with enhancing and changing spiritual perceptions by editing images to represent “Dreamscapes”.
