Aztec artwork project

I got inspired by Aztec art, while reading history of ancient Mesoamerica (Mexico). This is project of illustration fo less-known aztec deities, which can a lot to admire and inspire. Project tends to illustrate and vectorize beautiful original artwork.

Tlaloc is a member of the pantheon of gods in Aztec religion. As supreme god of the rain, Tlaloc is also a god of earthly fertility and of water. He was widely worshipped as a beneficent giver of life and sustenance.

Chalchiuhtlicue was the Aztec goddess of streams, rivers, and lakes. Her name means “She Who Wears a Jade Skirt.” She was also known as Matlalcueye (“She Who Wears a Green Skirt”). In some stories she was the wife of Tlaloc, the rain god. In other stories she was Tlaloc's sister.
