BackSeat Zine

BackSeat Zine: A collaborative based zine showcasing young and innovative musical artists in a contemporary format. A hybrid zine that uses traditional print format combined with Augmented Reality to allow users to both flick through a print zine & explore musical artists tunes, videos, news, and profiles virtually through the comfort of their own phone screen. BackSeat is a platform allowing independent musical artists to express themselves and their creative vision an innovatively. Musical artists working throughout a wide range of genres sent us content they wanted to present such as: Lyric sheets, music videos, promo materials, etc. Each page is carefully curated to cater to each artist need. As well as being a traditional print zine, BackSeat takes it that step further, incorporating Augmented Reality, to allow audiences to scan the pages and discover more online content. Some of the AR features include links to music videos, photoshoots, social media pages, Soundcloud accounts, artist collaborations, etc. Using Augmented Reality means the content can be updated regularly, allowing audiences to stay up to date with each artist and discover fresh, new content .
