Waxed canvas originated in Scotland in the 15th century. The first patent for it is held by the Scottish mill, Halley Stevensons. We've chosen to partner with them, and, using GOTS-certified organic cotton, we have a fabric that is soft, strong, lush and durable.
Manufacturing is in Sussex. Small batches allow for minimal waste, immense attention to detail, and enjoyable working conditions. The result is a group of makers that are proud of their work.
