BBC 6 Music -Steve Lamacqs Homecoming Tour for Independent Venue Week with Anna Calvi

The 6 Music Homecoming Tour sees Steve Lamacq take his BBC Radio 6 Music show to five UK cities during Independent Venue Week 2020 (IVW) which returns for a seventh year, celebrating smaller and grassroots music venues. Working as an event assistant for Independent Venue Week for the final night at the Windmill Brixton in London where we were joined by Anna Calvi who is IVW’s ambassador for 2020. The London born singer and guitarist is a three-time Mercury Prize nominee who scored the fifth season of BBC One series Peaky Blinders. Since the late 1990s The Windmill has been an important stepping stone for artists and has hosted DJs, poets and live bands including The Horrors, Los Campesinos, Klaxons and Metronomy, and more recently 6 Music regulars including the Fat White Family, Goat Girl and Shame have all made it a regular haunt. images taken from the Independent Venue Week website (I was running around too much to take photos!)
