BBC AR | D&AD New Blood 2020

Information hubs, like Google, contain extensive yet often unreliable information. We used the trusted and unbiased content of the BBC, to create a new multi-sensory space using AR to explore, capture and educate the user. BBC AR is a key feature connecting all the BBC's current services, in a single organised hub, integrating the vast archive of the BBC to create an API. It displays information based on locations, image analysis and interactive content, combining them into an augmented reality view. BBC AR connects you to the BBC archive anywhere in the world and brings you closer to the interactive features, with easy access in and outside your home.
