BEAUTY MISTY

  • Derby Nii Amarh AShitei

In this project, I intend to demonstrate through my images the unknown side of my postcode area, SW11. The plan from the beginning was to demonstrate the opposite of what my postcode is known for as in the opposite of the beauty of the bridges, the rivers, the tall buildings, the entertainment centres, the pubs, the parks, the precious and important train site, Clapham junction, the underground train stations and the numerous restaurants. I shot early mornings and late evenings as I intend to use the street lights as my main source of light for all images. Because of the darkness around such times in the winter, I took along a tripod as most of the images were taken by long exposures. All images were taken with a canon 5d mark IV and a 24-105mm f4.0 lens. I chose slow shutters and with the help of a combining ISO got a fair chance of brightness to mostly what came out as dark images especially the one of the green park landscape image.
