Leading trans artist and performer Travis Alabanza performs work from their debut poetry book 'Before I Step Outside (you love me)'. Compiled completely on public transport, the performance (which mixes sound, poetry, theatre and projection) dissects and addresses what it means to exist as a trans person outside. Who is hurting us? Who is protecting us? Who is silent? Before I Step Outside (you love me) was released in 2017, and is now shipped to over 19 countries and listed as one of the most innovative trans literary projects of that year.
