Bellah x Rolling Stone x Bacardi

CUSTOM PERFORMANCE LOOK FOR BELLAH AT THE LAUNCH PARTY OF BACARDI AND PRODUCER BOI-1DA'S 'THE CONCEPT A.I.BUM'. I created this hand dyed, two piece set for stylist Gelmira Manico. The aim was a look that would work with the stage lighting with both movement and structure. I dyed the fabric with a vibrant pink and added darker areas of dye for a more textured look. I constructed a corset style, denim bodice attached to the jacket to allow the waist to be cinched with an oversized top half and large lapels, pairing this piece with a layered, pleated skirt. The layering allowed Bellah more movement and interest to the piece as she danced. Completing the whole look with silver chain details. This was an exciting project and my first ever custom, this was also the quickest turn around for any look I've created and I'm really proud to have been able to produce a design that both Gelmira and Bellah loved.
