Ben & Jerry's Big Ice Screening

  • Luce Watson

3 Day climate change friendly cinema promoting Ben & Jerry's new product line Cookie Cores.

Producer and creator of Ben & Jerry’s The Big Ice Screening I worked in conjunction with the brand team to develop and deliver the three-day outdoor cinema held on Clapham Common. Working on the original concept I helped to develop the creative, production and partnerships for the event. Managing the site design, production, costings, staffing and logistics I worked with specialist power supplier FireFly to create the first brand-led green cinema.

The cinema which was powered by bicycles, hybrid and solar panels, saw 8 film screenings for over 2,500 people. Working with food vendors including Mallow & Marsh, DogTown and Joe&Sephs, I facilitated partnerships for the cinema in order to include a street food market open to all consumers to enjoy. All guests to the street food market were offered a free sample of Ben & Jerry’s new product Cookie Core regardless of whether they had purchased a ticket to the cinema screenings.
