Burberry burn over £28million of stock every year to preserve their exclusivity and to remain a luxury brand. Despite this, the Burberry check has become one of the worlds most replicated designs. The Counterfeit Collection juxtaposes the authentic and luxury with cheap and counterfeit. I replicated an iconic Burberry garment, the trench coat, valued at £1490 and remade it using the least expensive materials I could find. I bought the trench coat for £2 from a charity shop sale rail and used plastic laundry bags for the lining, coming to a total of £6.50.
