Beware the Breadclip

Screen printed open day poster design
The assignment here was to make a series of three posters with patterns that are either figurative, abstract or typographic. Made during my internship at studio sanne dijkstra.

I enjoyed this assignment because I was totally free to do whatever I wanted, to follow my fascination. Which, in this case was ‘the mundane’. Things you see every day but never really séé. The object which I started from is the infamous bread-clip. This object actually has a very interesting shape which you normally wouldn’t pay attention to. With this object I started my process, below is a small selection of what I made, with in the end the actual screen printing process and the result, a poster for an open day at a multimedia-lab.
This project really was about the visual journey, and not so much the end result, which made it really fun to do.
