2018 was the year I took full control of booking the artists and programmed the 2018 festival. (apart from the Cabaret Arena)
I worked on negotating with agencies to bring the best possible acts and a reasonable price due to the festival being a non-for-profit event that raises huge amounts for LGBTQ charities all over the UK. On top of this I worked on producing marketing material, working closely with our graphic designer, social media marketing and PR.
The festival weekend consisted of me stage managing the stages I had booked and being artist liaison to over 30+ artists ensuring all their needs were met in their time with us.
It was the most successful Birmingham Pride Festival to date.
