Black Box

Black Box is an adventure puzzle style game programmed using Java and Processing during my final year of University. It was a collaboration project with Dexter Orszagh.

Black Box was programmed in processing using the fsica physics engine. Other then the mechanics provided by the physics engine all other systems have been programmed from the ground up.

The game is about a detective who finds herself in a crime scene. Her objective is to locate the body in the room and enter the victim's mind using the interaction key. In the victims mind the player is required to navigate a bubble through a maze by rotating the maze itself clockwise or anti-clockwise at the correct audio and visual queues. When the bubble is rescued from the maze it will reveal a clue about the crime.

The idea behind the concept is that, these puzzles will be attached to objects which hold clue's about the crime. In order to solve the crime you must "hack" the cyber/virtual traces left on these objects by navigating though the mazes. Each clue will get the player closer to the culprits identity.
