Since 2015, founder Jay-Ann Lopez has been developing a community called Black Girl Gamers, a safe space for women of colour who feel otherwise excluded from the world of gaming. Their new identity needed to break the conventions of the gaming category, and express a strong personality that reflects the community it represents.
